Willie Nelson has vowed to sing again on the 4th of July after he canceled multiple shows in recent weeks.

The first cancellation came on June 21, the opening night of the Outlaw Music Festival Tour. Willie abruptly canceled his appearance at the show and others in the following days, citing an undisclosed illness as the reason.

We regret to inform you that Willie Nelson is not feeling well,” read a statement on Willie’s social media pages. “And per doctor’s orders, has been advised to rest for the next four days. He is expected to make a quick recovery and join the Outlaw Music Festival tour next week.”

But Willie needed to take just a little more time off to get back in good shape. On Tuesday (July 2), his team said he was canceling his appearance at the Outlaw Music Festival Tour stop in Mansfield, Massachusetts, that evening.
